The problem is about intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit high bank 1 causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system idle speed control throttle position 2, electrical malfunction or change engine oil temperature sensor (g8), circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |

00438 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
