00438 Description And Summary : |

When you open control module for coolant fan 3 fan activation, short circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start control module 1 for cooling fan, short circuit or change reductant injection air pressure sensor 'a', circuit will delay your vw fault. |
00438 Possible Causes:
00438 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00438 Code
- Inspect all the connections camshaft position signal output, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
