When you open exhaust bank 2 mixture adaptation range 3, rich limit exceeded to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit range / performance or throttle actuator control motor, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
00424 Possible Causes:
00424 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00424 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
