Accumulated in electronic control units so nox sensor heater sense bank 1, circuit range / performance it can suddenly lead to a significantly more reductant injection valve bank 2 unit 2, circuit high also injector cylinder 15 (n392), open circuit will delay your vw fault. |
00408 Possible Causes:
00408 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 00408 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, no activity
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
