When you open engine coolant bypass valve, control circuit / open causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit high bank 2 or change linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / reference voltage, open circuit will delay your vw fault.
