004 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine activation glow plug control module, electrical malfunction causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit electrical malfunction or change control module, coding fault is the final reason of the code. |
004 Possible Causes:
004 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 004 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for torque support mount, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
