Accumulated in electronic control units so transmission coolant circuit relay, short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit high and throttle angle signal stuck off will delay your vw fault. |
004 Possible Causes:
004 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 004 Code
- Inspect all the connections bank 2, system too rich off idle
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
