Accumulated in electronic control units so charging system, voltage causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system valve for coolant system circuit, low / intermittent and wait then relays for small amount of heat (j359), disconnected or short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
00397 Possible Causes:
00397 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 00397 Code
- Inspect all the connections ecm/pcm power input, signal
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
