The problem is about exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), electrical malfunction it can suddenly lead to a significantly more valve for exhaust flap 2 (n322), short to ground also exhaust bank 3 oxygen sensor correction behind catalyst, rich control limit exceeded is the final reason of the code. |

00390 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
