This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 3, probe 2 heating circuit interruption the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles brake switch circuit, error message from engine contr. or change malfunction indication light (k83), electrical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
00389 Possible Causes:
00389 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 00389 Code
- Inspect all the connections planetary overdrive / low range, mechanical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
