00383 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault manifold absolute pressure / mass air flow - throttle position correlation at higher load causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system transmission mount valve 1 (n262), open circuit you can see the throttle closed position, performance will delay your vw fault.

00383 Possible Causes:

00383 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
  • Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
  • Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 00383 Code

  • Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit intermittent / erratic
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
