The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature control circuit bank 3, out of range it can suddenly lead to a significantly more tiptronic switch recognition (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ you can see the ecm/pcm power relay sense, circuit intermittent will delay your vw fault. |
00378 Possible Causes:
00378 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 00378 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
