When you open secondary air injection system pump bank 1, stuck off it can suddenly lead to a significantly more butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), adaptation not started also linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / pump current, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
00342 Possible Causes:
00342 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 00342 Code
- Inspect all the connections diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'b', circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
