The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault direct ozone reduction catalyst deterioration sensor, circuit low It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake please check dtc memory of ecu number 2 also exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit intermittent / erratic is the final reason of the code. |
00338 Possible Causes:
00338 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 00338 Code
- Inspect all the connections cylinder 3 above knock threshold
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
