This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 3, probe 2 internal resistance too largely mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor tiptronic switch down, circuit short to ground . So for next camshaft position signal output, circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |
00318 Possible Causes:
00318 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 00318 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine- / transmission control modules, versions do not match
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
