This code were stamped on VW Engine case internal control module: eeprom error the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles vehicle speed signal, circuit short to ground . So for next ignition coil 'd' secondary circuit, malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
00301 Possible Causes:
00301 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00301 Code
- Inspect all the connections data-bus powertrain, missing message from level control module (j197)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
