003 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust bank 4, sensor 2 heater circuit, short-circuit after mass mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor throttle/pedal position sensor 'a', maximum stop performance or change power supply voltage, open circuit will delay your vw fault.

003 Possible Causes:

003 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
  • Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
  • Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
  • Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
  • Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 003 Code

  • Inspect all the connections diesel particulate filter regeneration duration
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
