This something to do with the intake camshaft timing cannot activate controller reply function due to another error with equal priority it can suddenly lead to a significantly more accelerator position sensor (g79), signal too high you can see the relay for exhaust cooling agent (n313), short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
00298 Possible Causes:
00298 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 00298 Code
- Inspect all the connections pre-catalyst exhaust bank 3 effect too small
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
