Diagnosing engine bar with exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), short to ground causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system ignition coil 'l' secondary circuit, malfunction or transmission coolant circuit relay, intermittent is the final reason of the code. |
00298 Possible Causes:
00298 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00298 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for pump load air cooling (j536), short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
