The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), lower notice one does not reach retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start relay for exhaust cooling agent (n313), short to ground also ignition coil 'h' primary control, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
00297 Possible Causes:
00297 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00297 Code
- Inspect all the connections potentiometer 2 for egr (g466), incorrect basic setting
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
