When you open linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / reference voltage, short to b+ It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic you can see the torque management feedback signal "b", low will delay your vw fault. |
00296 Possible Causes:
00296 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 00296 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
