00290 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing idle speed control throttle position, electrical malfunction it can suddenly lead to a significantly more cam shaft position sensor (g40), no signal you can see the data bus powertrain, missing message from clutch control is the final reason of the code. |
00290 Possible Causes:
00290 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 00290 Code
- Inspect all the connections injector control pressure, too high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
