When you open fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake intake air heater "a", circuit open or exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
00289 Possible Causes:
00289 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 00289 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel mixture control adjustment range 2, lower limit not reached
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
