Diameter in engine exhaust bank 2 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, voltage too low during deceleration It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, short to ground or change fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit intermittent / erratic will delay your vw fault. |

00289 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 00289 Code
- Inspect all the connections data bus powertrain, implausible message of the control module central electrics
