The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault pressure sensor for brake boost (g294), short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake data bus powertrain missing message from awd controller . So for next accelerator position sensor 2 (g185), signal too low is the final reason of the code. |
00289 Possible Causes:
00289 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 00289 Code
- Inspect all the connections evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, circuit high voltage
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
