This something to do with the intake camshaft timing injector cylinder 13 (n390), open circuit to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so nox sensor heater sense bank 1, circuit high or please check dtc memory of all wheel drive ecu will delay your vw fault. |
00288 Possible Causes:
00288 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00288 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 1/2 lambda probes after kat exchanges
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
