00278 Possible Causes:
00278 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00278 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid c (n388), electrical
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
