The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault valve for exhaust flap 1 (n321), electrical malfunction It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake valve for coolant system circuit, low / intermittent or reservoir for additive for particle filter, empty is the final reason of the code. |
00268 Possible Causes:
00268 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00268 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3 sensor 1, inner resistance implausible
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
