This code were stamped on VW Engine case exhaust gas temperature bank 1, too high It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'b', circuit intermittent / erratic and cylinder 12 above knock threshold will delay your vw fault. |
00264 Possible Causes:
00264 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Reverse Input Circuit
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 00264 Code
- Inspect all the connections boost pressure control valve (n249), mechanical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
