This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed pressure control solenoid 6 (n371) short to b+ . On the other hand control of valves pump / nozzle, electrical errors in the electric circuit is the final reason of the code. |

00262 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 00262 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
