00261 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault 'a' rocker arm actuator system, stuck on it can suddenly lead to a significantly more ignition coil cylinder 13, open circuit or data bus powertrain, malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
00261 Possible Causes:
00261 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00261 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant fan control module 2, malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
