The problem is about o2 sensor pumping current trim bank 2 sensor 1, circuit / open mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor valve for engine storage (n144/145), interruption / short-circuit after mass . On the other hand secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
00258 Possible Causes:
00258 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00258 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for large amount of heat (j360), short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
