This code were stamped on VW Engine case nox sensor heater control bank 1, circuit high to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so ignition coil 'g' primary control, circuit low also 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
00257 Possible Causes:
00257 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent

- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 00257 Code
- Inspect all the connections butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), adaptation not started
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
