The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault reductant injection air pump control, circuit high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system hc adsorption catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 1 or change diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'a', circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
00256 Possible Causes:
00256 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 00256 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, no activity
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
