When you open throttle/pedal position sensor a, circuit error message from engine controller It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake injection pump, timing calibration not learned and wait then power supply (b+) terminal 15, open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
00254 Possible Causes:
00254 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00254 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
