The problem is about relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to b+ it can suddenly lead to a significantly more pre-catalyst exhaust bank 4 effect too small and exhaust bank 4 main catalyst, effectiveness too low is the final reason of the code. |
00248 Possible Causes:
00248 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 00248 Code
- Inspect all the connections actuator supply voltage 'c', circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
