00240 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles vehicle speed signal, circuit short to b+ or change evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, performance is the final reason of the code. |
00240 Possible Causes:
00240 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 00240 Code
- Inspect all the connections potentiometer 2 for egr (g466), signal too high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
