This something to do with the intake camshaft timing angle sensors 2 for butterfly valve drive 2 (g298), signal too largely It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit and wait then engine coolant temperature signal, short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
00236 Possible Causes:
00236 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 00236 Code
- Inspect all the connections ecm/pcm power relay sense, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
