Diameter in engine exhaust bank 3, probe 2 signal too slowly retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, short to b+ and radiator exhaust control 1, short-circuit after mass is the final reason of the code. |
00231 Possible Causes:
00231 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction

- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3, probe 2 no activity
