Staring in engine exhaust bank 3 main catalyst, effectiveness too low causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system fuel fired heater, performance or change exhaust bank 4, sensor 1, electrical error in the electric circuit will delay your vw fault. |
00230 Possible Causes:
00230 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 00230 Code
- Inspect all the connections outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
