Diagnosing engine bar with exhaust gas temperature, bank 1 sensor 2, out of range retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start data bus powertrain, incorrect signal from adr control module and wait then valve for intake manifold flap (n239), short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
00220 Possible Causes:
00220 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 00220 Code
- Inspect all the connections relay for exhaust cooling agent (n313), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
