Diagnosing engine bar with altitude adaptation, signal out of tolerance causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 1, compensation wire pump current, open circuit . On the other hand accelerator pedal position sensor 1 (g79), signal too high is the final reason of the code. |
00217 Possible Causes:
00217 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00217 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 12 (n308), range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
