This code were stamped on VW Engine case exhaust gas temperature bank 2, too high the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles reductant injection air pump control, circuit / open you can see the pressure sensor for brake boost (g294), short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
00216 Possible Causes:
00216 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00216 Code
- Inspect all the connections glow plug/heater relay circuit, electrical
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
