The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault valve for intake manifold flap (n239), short to b+ run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed control module, coding fault and exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
00198 Possible Causes:
00198 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 00198 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
