The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust bank 4, sensor 1, no activity it can suddenly lead to a significantly more water in fuel condition . So for next exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit range / performance will delay your vw fault. |
00197 Possible Causes:
00197 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 00197 Code
- Inspect all the connections evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
