Diameter in engine exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), electrical malfunction mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor mass-airflow sensor 4 (g457), signal to low or change data bus powertrain, missing message from instruments panel ecu is the final reason of the code. |
00196 Possible Causes:
00196 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 00196 Code
- Inspect all the connections bank 2, system too lean at idle
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
