00189 Description And Summary : |

When you open diesel particulate filter differential pressure too low bank 2 the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'b', circuit intermittent / erratic or change water in fuel condition is the final reason of the code. |
00189 Possible Causes:
00189 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 00189 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for intake manifold flap (n239), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
