When you open exhaust bank 3, probe 2 heating circuit short-circuit after mass It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake transmission range display, circuit short to b+ . So for next fuel level sensor 2, circuit intermittent is the final reason of the code. |
00178 Possible Causes:
00178 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)

What To Check After Fixing 00178 Code
- Inspect all the connections injector control pressure, too high - engine off
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
