The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault heater regulation, implausible signal mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor valve for pump - jet, cylinder 1 (n240), electrical malfunction or change pressure control solenoid 5 (n233), electrical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
00171 Possible Causes:
00171 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 00171 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid c (n388), electrical
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
