Accumulated in electronic control units so ignition coil 'c' secondary circuit, malfunction causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circuit range / performance and throttle actuator control system, forced limited power will delay your vw fault. |
00171 Possible Causes:
00171 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 00171 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of clutch ecu
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
