The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault radiator fan 2 (v177), difficulty of movement / blocked retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start nox sensor heater control bank 2, circuit / open . So for next evaporative emission system vent (n115), valve stuck open will delay your vw fault. |
00170 Possible Causes:
00170 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical

What To Check After Fixing 00170 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger over-boost condition
