Accumulated in electronic control units so evaporative emission system switching valve control, circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start generator lamp/l-terminal, circuit high . On the other hand air cleaner inlet control, circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
00166 Possible Causes:
00166 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 00166 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet, cylinder 3 (n242), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
