When you open glow plug / heater indicator (k29), circuit short to b+ to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so throttle actuator control motor, control circuit and exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit intermittent will delay your vw fault. |
00166 Possible Causes:
00166 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00166 Code
- Inspect all the connections relay 2 for power supply (b+)terminal 30, range/performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
