Diagnosing engine bar with evaporative emission system switching valve control, circuit low causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system steering angle signal, error message from steering angle sensor or ignition coil 'i' primary control, short to plus is the final reason of the code. |
00165 Possible Causes:
00165 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 00165 Code
- Inspect all the connections water in fuel sensor, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
