When you open throttle/pedal position sensor 'e', maximum stop performance the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles air leak between throttle body and intake valves you can see the secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
00164 Possible Causes:
00164 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00164 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel injection valve 3 (n368), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
