The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit / open It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake accelerator position sensor 2 (g185), signal too high or change diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'b', circuit low is the final reason of the code. |

00162 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 00162 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel mixture control adjustment range 1, lower limit not reached
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
