00161 Description And Summary : |

When you open malfunction indication light (k83), open to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so ignition coil 'g' primary control, circuit low . On the other hand load signal from alternator terminal df, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
00161 Possible Causes:
00161 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00161 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant circulation pump relay (j151), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
