The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault barometric pressure sensor 'a', circuit range / performance it can suddenly lead to a significantly more 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit low or automatic glow time control module 2 (j609), circuit implausible signal will delay your vw fault. |
00161 Possible Causes:
00161 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00161 Code
- Inspect all the connections evaporative emission system switching valve, stuck closed
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
